Erin Finney

 

Erin has been involved with horses since birth. The day she was born her Grandpa went out and bought her a pony. Since then she has shown 4-H and WSCA before moving on to High School Rodeo, Amateur Rodeo, College Rodeo and Jackpot Barrel Racing.

 

Erin attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston where she received her B.S. in Agricultural Business and an Associate of Applied Science in Animal Science. She interned at Waconia Farm Supply and was hired full time upon graduation in 2004.

 

Constantly attending nutrition seminars and staying up to date on the current research being done in equine nutrition is a main passion; passing the information on to her customers is her specialty. Whether you’re feeding performance horses, growing horses and breeding animals, or your best friend in the pasture, Erin will set you up with the feeding program to meet you’re equine partner’s needs.

Sue Nerud, our Equine/Specialty Manager, has been with Waconia Farm Supply since April, 2001. Sue has been active both personally and professionally in the equine industry for over 28 years. Currently living on a horse farm in Buffalo, Minnesota, Sue understands the many facets of the equine industry as few do. Currently attending Metropolitan State University, Sue continues to fine tune and focus her education to bring additional solutions to her customers.

 

As the previous owner of Horsen Around, the industries premier regional publication, Sue brings her personal experience and knowledge of the inner workings of the industry to our firm. Her career experience includes; experience working directly with performance horses at numerous Thoughbred race tracks across the country. Her background includes selling farm/ranch; equine mortality insurance, industry consulting and product/service positioning and advertising. Sue currently helps to head up and oversee the equine sales staff at Waconia Farm Supply. She is sought after to develop solutions to day to day challenges of owning/running a horse facility in addition to recommending the appropriate feed and nutrition advice to our customers’ equine partners.  

 

Sue sits on many boards including the Equine Education Team at the University Of Minnesota. She is looked to as an industry leader in her field.

Mike is the former owner of the Delano Elevator and helped

develop many quality feeds out of that location. He helped

formulate the Power Gold Hioil before high fat diets for horses

even hit mainstream! Mike has been with Waconia Farm Supply

since 2003 with a focus on Equine Nutrition options for horse owners.
